Who We Are

Meet Our President

Jimmie E. Wilson

Jimmie E. Wilson is a lifelong Kentuckian, former educator, and workforce specialist in recovery services with more than a decade of experience supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorder (SUD/OUD). Her professional work has long centered on advocacy, education, and helping people navigate complex systems during vulnerable moments in their lives.

In August 2025, Jimmie’s life changed dramatically. Following the administration of a compounded weight-loss medication, she experienced acute liver failure and was hospitalized within weeks. She ultimately required a life-saving emergency liver transplant.

Through her recovery and lived experience as a liver transplant recipient, Jimmie gained firsthand insight into the physical, emotional, and systemic challenges faced by transplant patients and their families. These experiences catalyzed the creation of The JADA Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting transplant patients, promoting patient safety, and advancing education and awareness to help prevent medication-related harm.

As President, Jimmie brings both professional expertise and personal perspective to the Foundation’s mission—leading with compassion, accountability, and a deep commitment to improving outcomes for patients and families navigating critical health journeys.
